A stunning vintage Italian Empire Grand Tour style specimen marble 'pietra dura' table.
Topped with a spectacular exhibition quality round specimen marble slab, featuring a large variety of rare, exotic, and decorative marbles, hard stones, alabasters and porphyries inlays creating a brilliant array of colors, resting on circular mahogany pedestal base adorned with gilt bronze mounts, having five columnar supports, joined by a sculptural bronze doré finial mounted flame mahogany star-form cross stretcher, ending in ebonized wood bun feet. circa 1960
Placed in the middle of the room, foyer or entry, this remarkable table makes for a magnificent statement piece!

Condition:
Good unrestored antique / vintage condition with dark warm rich patina and luminous sheen. As photographed. Retaining original vintage character marks and charm throughout, including minor scattered nicks and chips, the base with scuffs, scratches, old touchups, and evidence of past restorations, significant wear consistent with age and indicative of moderate use. Strong, sturdy, stable, structurally sound. Overall outstanding presentation. Delivered cleaned, waxed, with hand rubbed polished French patina finish, ready for immediate use!
