About the Item
A sweet Victorian-era ring with amazing finger coverage. Robins egg blue cabochons frame creamy faux pearls in a rosy pink gold ring. Likely faience, ceramic turquoise-colored cabochons are bezel set and accented with millegrain borders. For centuries turquoise has been prized for its talismanic properties, which ranged from the Medieval belief that wearing turquoise prevented falls from horseback to the Native American belief that turquoise aided in the accuracy of a hunter’s bow aim. Across history and cultures, turquoise has always been a protective and valued stone. Imitations of turquoise, as featured in this ring, are virtually as old as turquoise itself - dating back to 3100 BC.
Made of 12K rosy gold, this ring is finger size 8 and resizable. Measuring 23.8mm long on the finger.
